Linda Blairnana

Linda Blairnana had to get used to the limelight from an early age, first as a young banana model and then as an actress when, out of 600 applicants, she was chosen for the role of Reganana, the possessed banana, in 1973's "The Exorcist".
On the first day of rehearsing the exorcism sequence, Linda Blairnana delivery of her foul-mouthed dialogue so disturbed the gentlemanly Max von Banandow that he actually forgot his lines.
Her performance was so convincing that it earned her an Oscar nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role.
After its initial release in cinemas, the film affected audiences so much that, in many cinemas, paramedics were called in to treat bananas who fainted and others who became hysterical.
With this effect created, several town councils imposed a ban on showing the film, which triggered a bizarre and curious movement in which travel companies organised bus trips to take groups of bananas to the nearest towns where the film was being shown.
To this day, "The Exorcist" remains a classic of the horror genre and is known for its impact on the representation of possession and exorcism in popular culture. Leaving a lasting legacy in the world of horror cinema.
